SUMMER PROGRAM INFORMATION

This summer Molly Ward, OVCNS's Preschool teacher has lots of great activities planned. Our study of oceanography will include both the animals and plants of the ocean. In the classroom we’ll be busy exploring the Montessori apparatus. Outdoors we’ll cool off by building rivers in our sand area, playing water games, and making cool summer treats such as smoothies, slushies, and fruit salads.

OUR SUMMER STAFF

Molly Ward - Preschool Teacher
Molly Ward, our Preschool Teacher is an AMS certified Montessori teacher, as well as a strong believer in parent cooperative education. She earned her Elementary Montessori teaching credential from the American Montessori Society after studying at the Center for Montessori Teacher Education, N.Y. for three years. From 1995-2003, Molly taught elementary (ages 6-9) at the AMS accredited Montessori Center School in Santa Barbara. She received her BA in Sociology in 1993 from UC Santa Barbara. Her additional course work includes Lindamood Bell Phonemic Awareness and Symbol Imagery Programs, Brain Gym Educational Kinesiology, volunteer work for the Dyslexia Awareness and Resource Center, and intermediate sign language. She most enjoys spending time with her husband of 10 years, Bob, and their three year old son, Brady.
