Our Preschool Program follows the model of a Primary Montessori classroom with children between the ages of 3 and 6. Here, parents are welcome to stay with their children everyday, and are required to work 2-4 times per month, assisting the teacher and helping with general clean-up. Further, we recognize that all children are comfortable with separation from caregivers at different times, hence a separation is never "forced" at OVCNS, but "gently supported". Children are given the opportunity to feel safe and learn to trust other adults in their own time. In the preschool, each child's individual level of achievement, ability, interest and need is respected, while exploration and growth are gently encouraged.
