Since 1955 OVCNS has been the only parent-owned and operated cooperative nursery school in the Ojai Valley. Our guiding principle is that strong families and parent-child relationships grow where there is an opportunity for parents to participate in the preschool experience.

The Ojai Valley Community Nursery School now offers a
Montessori curriculum and an AMI-trained director and preschool teacher with programs for parents and their children ages 18 months - 6 years.

Fall 2008
All School Clean Up: Saturday, August 23rd 8:00 - 2:00 This is for returning families and anyone who wants to start getting acquainted with their new school.

Day of Play for Toddlers: Tuesday, August 26 from 9:30 - 11:30

Orientation night for Toddler and Pre-school families: August 28 from 6 - 8pm

Labor Day: No school Monday September 1st, 2008

Orientation Week for pre-schooolers: Tuesday, September 2nd through Thursday, September 4th 9:00 - 12:00 Each family will come only on their orientation day

First day of School for Toddlers starts Thursday, September 4th 9:30 -11:30

Preschool Open House Friday, September 5th 12:00 - 2:00

First day of pre-school starts Monday, September 8th, 9:00 - 12:00

Parent Night Thursday, September 25th 6:00 - 8:00


OVCNS Birthdays
If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday with his or her friends at school you are welcome to do just that. After outside time we will clean up a bit early (by 10:30) and go inside to our circle rug.
